It’s Simply Not About You!

The term ‘humanitarian’ has taken a whole new meaning in the ever-growing society of instant gratification, self-indulgence and public notoriety. The deed is only truly acted upon when your tax returns are due or a new pop culture or dating trend emerges.

Not everything you do for the greater good of humanity or society needs to be done on a public platform. Your gift of time, knowledge, resources or money can only have a multiplying effect if given with the right intent. Gifts carry energy, an energy which needs to serve its purpose intended for the receiver that was developed in the heart of the giver. Choose to actively and intentionally make a difference in someone else’s life by making your gift which essentially is a seed, to grow.

One of many clear examples of this would be to offer to pay for someone’s public transportation to work for a week or a month. Your seed combined by your true intent which is to ‘multiply’ has now taken a new life. It would allow for that receiver to use that money which was originally intended for transportation for extra tutor lessons for the kids, lunch money, paying bills, being able to afford an umbrella or heater for winter, or a birthday cake for your elderly parent. The point is, the doors and blessings stemming from your intent as a giver for the receiver has a life of its own that goes well beyond any material or tangible object.
